Yes, Valentine’s Day typically brings romantic relationships to mind. However, I love to take this time to think of all those who I love in addition to my husband, Jeff. I am extremely fortunate to have 2 children, close friends and family who I love dearly. I also absolutely love being a Professional Organizer. Perhaps you are wondering, what is it about my job that I love so much? Let me count all the reasons why….
· I love the overall feeling of helping others. Knowing I am reducing stress and anxiety in my clients’ everyday lives is incredibly rewarding. I have literally watched as clients’ shoulders drop in our working sessions together.
· I love helping my clients reach their personal, business and family goals. Whether it is defining and creating spaces for intended purposes or working on time management/productivity systems, I relish in hearing of my clients’ accomplishments.
· I love that the work I do with my clients allows them to enjoy their spaces more.
· I love when I am able to make times of transition less stressful. Whether it’s moving to a new home, preparing for a baby’s arrival, making a career change, downsizing, or any other type of transition, it can be stressful. Laying out clear goals and a plan then executing it and seeing the client to the other side (all in one piece) brings immense satisfaction.
· I love meeting and nurturing relationships with really wonderful people – clients, referral partners, and my fellow Organizers.
· I love getting to use my puzzle solving skills as each project involves starting with what I know and figuring out the other pieces as we go.
· I love that no 2 days are the same. While clients may have similar needs and goals, each client and each project is entirely different. I definitely can’t complain of boredom!
· I love my continued growth and learning. I am constantly learning about the latest organizing systems and products, mental health conditions that play a role in client organizing goals, business management skills and more.
· And I absolutely love regularly hearing my favorite expression… “I’ve been looking for that”!
